Short Story Contest
A literary competition that has become a real classic among the awards held on the occasion of Sant Jordi.
Since 2007, the event has called upon the people of Barcelona and its metropolitan area to put their talent and creativity to the test by writing a short story, which can be either fiction or non-fiction, inspired by any of TMB’s modes of public transport.
Apart from stimulating ingenuity and encouraging the habit of reading, the competition aims to foster a sense of public-spiritedness and the values of respect and civic harmony on public transport.
Categories
Relats Curts is divided into the following formats and categories:
The Open format category is open to everyone. There are three categories in this option
- Freestyle story (CA): This category allows you to write a short story, comprising 3,500 characters, inspired by transport or a scenario related to TMB, civic responsibility or coexistence on transport.
- Tweet-story (CA): Use a tweet of up to 280 characters to tell a brief story involving transport or a scenario related to TMB, the legend of Sant Jordi, civic responsibility or coexistence on transport.
- Insta-story (CA): make an image worth a thousand words by uploading a picture on Instagram and giving it a literary title. Remember that it must include a day-to-day scene related to transport or a scenario connected to TMB, civic responsibility or coexistence on transport.
- Audio-story (CA): Narrate your story in your own voice. Describe a story connected to transport or a scenario related to TMB, civic responsibility or coexistence on transport. It can be up to one minute long.
- Childre'ns story (CA): In this category children can let their imaginations run wild by writing a short story of up to 3,500 characters
The option limited format is only open to the employees of any of the TMB Group’s companies.
The Short Story Contest website
If you like writing, the Short Story Contest website (CA) is the ideal place to share your literary works. Space where registered JoTMBé users can upload their short story in the Free Story, Audio Story, Children's Story and Free Story for Workers categories.
But if you're passionate about reading. By accessing the Short Stories website (CA), you have access to all the stories in all the categories. Voting phase
An award will be given to the story with the most votes. All JoTMBé members will be entitled to vote for all the stories published in the Freestyle category once the participation period has opened.
There will be a daily draw for a prize among all the registered users of JoTMBé who have voted for a story in the Freestyle category, posted on the website of TMB’s Relats Curts Competition, until the end of the voting period.

The Llibre Solidari Association is a non-profit organization that promotes a culture of sustainability and solidarity in the Catalan region. Llibre Solidari strives to get people involved in living more sustainably with the environment through the reuse of second-hand products (books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl records and clothing). Llibre Solidari promotes activities around the world related to books and literature with a view to becoming a cultural reference in Catalonia.
