Espai Mercè Sala

TMB provides a space where the public can discover new cultural offerings. The Espai Mercè Sala is both a meeting place and a place to pass through.

Located in Diagonal metro station, the Espai Mercè Sala is an exhibition hall where passengers and artists can meet and display their creative talents, and where the public can participate in the cultural events organised there.

This cultural space was created in memory of Mercè Sala Schnorkowski, chair of TMB for 11 years (1980-1991). Her contribution to the development of Barcelona’s public transport system was invaluable, and we wanted her name to be associated with a space dedicated to citizenship and public service as a tribute to her work and commitment.

Location Open to visitors
The Espai Mercè Sala is located in the lobby connecting lines L3 and L5 in Diagonal station Weekdays from Monday to Friday, from 10.00 to 20.00 h. Admission is free.
