We donate assets which have been withdrawn from service to public institutions and charitable organisations, in accordance with the guidelines of Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona’s Metropolitan Council for International Cooperation and our Cooperation and Solidarity Master Plan.
Under this programme, buses and other auxiliary vehicles are donated to public institutions, charities and local bodies in developing countries. The buses have been withdrawn from service as part of our fleet renewal process. For international donations, we work in partnership with Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona. Once delivered, these vehicles are used to improve and strengthen public transport services, for school bus services or to redevelop local transport services. As well as buses, other donated items include medical materials, discontinued uniforms, banners, office supplies, IT equipment, etc.
