Educational project
The TMB Foundation organises a range of activities through the TMB Education programme to ensure new generations grow up in a culture of truly sustainable transport. The programme includes workshops and training activities for all.
This educational programme is designed to teach people about the current situation of the company and the transport system, looking at key issues such as the sustainability of the transport system, the use of renewable energy, universal accessibility, the use of new technologies to manage and improve transport systems and how to encourage civic-mindedness.
The TMB Education project reflects TMB's interest in education and its involvement with educational bodies in Barcelona and the Metropolitan area.
We help schoolchildren to discover, under our guidance, how the transport system works from inside, what we are doing to improve mobility for everyone and the innovations we are implementing to make more efficient and environmentally friendly use of energy. We also offer educational activities aimed at the general public and provide support for university research projects.
In June 2016 TMB was awarded the University of Barcelona Institute of Education Sciences (ICE) seal of quality.

The Youth Research Expo is an international research fair where, since 2000, secondary education and college students from all over the world present their research projects during three days in stands customised by the students themselves. Here, they share and promote their research projects to all visitors. During the three days of the exhibition, the projects are evaluated by a qualified, independent jury.
In each edition, the TMB Foundation awards the TMB Educate prize to the most significant project within the company's operational area.
