TMB offers visits to the Metro Control Centre and the Traffic Regulation Centre, where people can learn about the sophisticated systems used to control the metro and bus networks in Barcelona. Another activity is “A stroll through the history of public transport in Barcelona”, looking at the history of Barcelona public transport over more than 100 years and its importance for the city and its growth.

This workshop helps elderly people to get to know the bus and network systems better and gives them the resources to enable them to travel enjoyably and safely.
The aims are:
- To help the elderly remain mobile and, therefore, independent.
- To help them travel more safely.
- To encourage elderly people to be loyal customers and users of public transport.
- To understand and respect the fears elderly people have about using public transport.
