Suitability tests for metro musicians
16th edition of auditions for aspiring musicians to play at official points provided on the network.
TMB and AMUC BCN (Association of Street and Metro Musicians) are once again organising the auditions, following the same process as in previous editions: each candidate will need to perform some of the songs chosen at random by the members of the jury from the repertoire presented, which will include a minimum of 20 songs.
A jury made up of two teachers, from the School of Musicians and JPC, will assess candidates, bearing in mind criteria such as quality of performance, variety of repertoire, originality, the creative richness of the songs, and the cultural, stylistic and instrumental diversity.
If the jury’s assessment is favourable, the musician will have the opportunity to obtain an AMUC BCN affiliate card, allowing them to take part in the association’s projects, including performances in the metro, so long as there are places available. Musicians who pass tests for places already filled will be put on a waiting list.
Date: 17 March, from 9 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm
Venue: Universitat metro station (L2)
